Inventory shrinking

Even though it is the slowest month to buy homes inventory is shrinking considerably and new homes are not as plentiful. Now is the time to buy if you want to get the $8000 tax credit (for those who qualify) because by November 30th it will be gone. Qualifying buyers must close by then.

$8000 tax credit for first time homebuyers

The tax credit seems to have caused a frenzy in the purchase of first time homebuyers in the Framingham area. On market priced properties we are seeing multiple offers, some going over the asking price. It is a great time to buy even though interest rates went up slightly. But you must hurry as time is running out for the tax credit. Closings must occur by November 30, 2009.
